The Pleasant Hills Community Hotel and Post Office serve many roles for the people of Pleasant Hills. Weekdays it is a Post office and small store. Groceries, ice creams and milk are available, with hot food between 9am-5pm.

On weekends the Pleasant Hills Community Hotel comes to life. Opening at 6:00pm on Friday, cold drinks and takeaway food like fish and chips and hamburgers are available. On Saturdays from 4pm come on in for a counter meal. Open Sundays from 4pm-8pm the Community Association can also cater for functions, with good country cooking run by the locals.

Accommodation is also available for small groups (six rooms).
